I have to disagree,

My husband got me a similar outfit for halloween last year. I went out with my friends as the brides maids, it was a fantastic night, we got loads of attention and had so much fun. i arranged for one guy i met to come to our house the next day, and i put the outfit back on for him, it was wanderful!.

Call me easy if you like, but my husband enjoys me doing it as much as I enjoy doing it, so if its good for our relationship then Im all for it!

Lori, I think your costume was both timely and clever. But I do believe you may have been foiled by the sheer commoness of the tennis shoe these days. As everyone is wearing sneakers practically everywhere, it becomes difficult to distinguish the costume shoe.

I don't think many people got that I was a *runaway* bride, even though a pair of well-worn tennis shoes were clearly visible. And I'm not in the habit of wearing tennis shoes to the place I went in costume. Are old tennis shoes so close to being ubiquitous that some people don't think it odd if they are worn by a bride? Or maybe the costume was a bit of a stretch...

Actually, I'm going to be the Runaway Bride: long gold dress, veil, tennis shoes and a napsack or backpack.

It's been so much trouble getting this simple ensemble together that I cannot imagine planning a large formal wedding.

Never teh Bride has not yet met the thigh high stocking that will stay up without garters or copious amounts of theatrical sticky gum.

Is not a wedding gown in and of itself a sort of costume? Where are the little boys who clamor to put on groom garb on fright night? Perhaps such things can give the bridal gear bad mojo.

The Annalucia, she is wondering how long those stockings are going to stay up by themselves without garters. And please do not tell her that they are thigh-highs which do not require the garters. The manufacturers' claims to the contrary, the thigh-highs will always slide down the leg, and the effect will be Slattern rather than Sexy.

At any rate, this costume, it is not of the Bride. It is of the stripper who jumps out of the cake at the stag party, in order to embarrass the Bridegroom. The bridal costume is decorous and in good taste, and the sexiness is displayed afterwards, in the privacy of the bedroom.
