I know this is a day late, but I wanted to wish my man Elton John and his new hubby David Furnish all the best. The pair have been beaus for 12 years! Of course, unlike The Beard and myself, they had a good reason for not tying the knot - it having been illegal and all.
The reception cost an estimated $1.75 million, and featured pink champagne and lamb for roughly 600 guests inside two white tents erected at John’s Windsor mansion. Elton was dressed in a black silk suit with a long jacket, whilst David wore a black morning suit and sported a freshly-snipped hairdo.

I find Elton John to be more than little freaky but that picture is really touching. I am so glad that they, and everyone else in a similar relationship, finally can experience the trauma of planning a wedding.

You never can tell with Elton. He might have just as soon wore big sequined glasses. But he and his new hubby look plenty happy in their pics and that’s all that counts.

I remember hearing that sometime after Ontario (??) legalized same sex marriage, one of the first couples called it quits. It turned out the divorce law had not been updated, so they couldn’t actually get divorced. Ha! Marriage for all, but divorce only between a man and a woman. The irony was almost too much to bear…
