I'd love to see that bustled up. If the bustling is planned properly, it looks like it might be able to go into a 360* star... how clever. I think a lot of brides forget that they will spend most of the day with the dress bustled, and it's great to see something that looks both graceful *and* original.

Stunning gown N.t.B. ! - I just had to zoom in to see how the star shape was constructed. There is a deep pleat on either side of the zipper - the inserted piece of fabric is pretty wide, probably almost as wide as the back of the skirt. The edges of the pleat are then pulled together at the brooch and the arms of the star are folded out. It does indeed look like there might be some kind of attachment right at the bottom of the bodice, right at the top of the zipper, which would enable you to bustle the gown. I also love the lacing on the back of the bustier, which is made from the same fabric as the skirt .

Good question, charlene. Unfortunately, Impression Bridal tends to provide as little detail as they can get away with on their web site. Perhaps, the brooch is a means of attachment and thus could create a series of flowing folds when lifted?

Goodness. Apparently the groom was so eager for the honeymoon that he forgot to wait until he got to the hotel room to disrobe...
