If you’re a bride looking for a dress and simply can’t find exactly what you want (or a bride looking for the right attendant’s dresses), check out Dress By Design. In just three easy steps, you can create a dress as unique as you are. There are five main patterns to choose from that can be modified with seven neckline styles and six sleeve styles. They offer a TON of plain and patterned fabrics, and you can even choose between standard sizes and a custom fit!

That seems very pricey; I did a test design for a simple cotton dress, and it was $169. For that kind of money I’d rather have a seamstress make one for me!

I love that site, but it’s a deadly double-edged sword. With one side you cleanly wipe out your current lackluster wardrobe with a bazillion fabulous possiblities; and with the other side, you wipe out both your checking and savings accounts in one fell swoop.
But even if you resist the urge to purchase, the site’s worth its weight in gold because it makes it possible to actually see the possibilities come to life, not just imagine them…
Whoa, Stylegraduate, I hadn’t even tried cottons. That is a bit nutty. But the good new is that the prices don’t increase much when you upgrade the fabrics.
