Now there is the question of the day, Style Graduate. I have determined that the more vague a company is in regard to the price of a dress, the more expensive that dress typically is. And boy, howdy, some dresses are killer. I've been lucky enough to only be included in wedding parties where the bride only wanted similar colors and we were free to choose wildly different dresses.

Anyway, in this case, I know the answer. Most Bari Jay dresses are about $150.

Re: the model, I think it is just a case of too much makeup, with a touch of Zoolander's problem of only having one expression. The dress is gorgeous, although it might not work too well for busty brides!

NtB, do you know how Bari Jay dresses generally cost? I am always shocked at the outrageous proces of bridesmaids' dresses; I think people would often do better just getting a dress from, say, Ann Taylor (who also carries bridesmaids' dresses!).

Ick. Like her face has been photoshopped into every picture. Apparently her plastic surgeon is not one of those who tries to talk patients out of excessive Botox treatments.

That bridesmaid dress horror show is giving me hellish jr. high/high school flashbacks. I think that I've probably worn versions of most of these dresses at one time or another. Fortunately for me---and unfortunately for these bridesmaids---I wore most of them in musical theater productions, rather than in REAL LIFE!

I am LOVING that blue dress. The model however, I am not sure if she is a real doll or not. If you do not know what a real doll is, google it. It's a bit creepy.

I think, patient one, that long ago there used to be an unofficial rule that brides had to dress their bridesmaids badly so they could ensure they'd be the best looking gal up at the alter. Of course, it backfired because the eye is naturally drawn to a horrible dress for reasons science does not yet understand.

What was with 80's brides and metallic pink?! *shudder*

Did these people truly hate their so called "friends"? On a peronal note, I was once a junior bridesmaid in a wedding. The bride chose the fabric for our gowns:

Picture large cabbage roses and vines over off white fabric (yes there were puffly sleeves too) And this was in the early 90's. I looked semi-cute (I was 8 or 9) but I felt so bad for the adult bridesmaids.

I loooove that blue dress! I want to wear a dress like that to my wedding. I don't care if white is traditonal, I refuse to spend that much money on a dress I can only wear once. Besides, my skin looks gastly pale in white.

...and I'm not having bridesmaids. I would rather my friends relax and enjoy the ceremony.
