Let freedom ring!

Happy Independence Day to all you U.S.ians (and a merry belated Canada Day) out there. I remain unhappily just that: Independent. Because this July 4 is the fourth anniversary of the date The Beard and I became a couple, I had hoped today would be “the day” but I was wrong. Ah, well. Hopefully all those lucky ladies fortunate enough to receive proposals today didn’t end up with rings like this one from SZUL.

Let freedom ring!

According to SZUL, “a luscious red ruby, a sparkling white diamond, and a deep blue sapphire are set on an artfully engraved shiny 14K white gold band.” Well. I think I’ve proven that it *is* possible to take patriotism too far.

Happy July 4th from Giggy! He is offering a special 2-for-the-price-of-1 deal for nookies in honor of the occasion.

    I think with differernt stones that’s a lovely ring….
I’ve always felt USA-ians were a little overly-patriotic (AUST-ians having only a love of sport instead of our country) though so this doesn’t surprise me LOL.

Commiserations for non-engagement sorrow. I did that too-every possible landmark day that could be the day….and then it isn’t….to the point where I had myself blinded to the occassion when it actually did happen-so there’s always a silver lining…..

Thanks for the words of wisdom, Dataceptionist. I just have to stop getting myself all geared up when I can’t be seeing into The Beard’s head. What will be will be.

I agree with Dataceptionist that the ring would be very pretty with different stones. OTOH, I have seen a truly terrifying stars and stripes wedding gown pic floating around the net. As is, this would be the perfect ring to pair with it.

I would, however, like to state for the record that never in a million years would I wear either at my wedding…or anywhere else, for that matter! LOL! For me, patriotism is something I live, not something I wear.

I think it is quite a pretty ring. It doesn’t look patriotic to me; it looks like the colors are magenta, deep blue, not red and royal blue. I think it is a sweet designs with the twist effect!

I agree w/ Dataceptionist too – much better w/ different coloured stones/colour scheme.

Does the middle stone look a little off kilter?
