RIP summer - almost
By Never teh Bride
With fall fast approaching–there is a brisk morning chill in the air here in Boston–I thought it would be nice to drool over a summery destination wedding dress. Just to help us remember what we’re missing when we’re knee deep in colored leavers and decked out in thick scarves. No doubt some folks will be spending the fall and winter months eagerly counting the days until their warm weather weddings.
This princess-line Alfred Angelo dress features beaded Shiffli lace on net over satin, with spaghetti straps and a semi-cathedral train. At under $599, it’s a real bargain for the summertime bride and a wonderful reminder that even though autumn looms large, next summer will come round before you know it.

It’s a pretty dress, and affordable. But do you know what I like best about this picture? THE BRIDE LOOKS HAPPY!!!!! And she isn’t sniffing her pits!!!!

You’re so right, Twistie! I thought there was something unusual about this picture. Then it struck me: The model bride is not growling or glaring disdainfully into the camera.

I tried that dress on and it was my second favorite. I got a similar one (for even less) at David’s Bridal that fit a bit better. I never thought that I would get a tea length dress until I saw the dress you pictured, but it was a GREAT decision. It was so very comfortable, and I could dance and walk around without tripping over myself.

I love the bottom lace effect! I’m just not a fan of the strapless wedding dress. (Too overdone, maybe?)
As for fall…I live in central Florida and it is still freakin 93 degrees at noon here. : (
I would kill for a brisk morning chill. I usually don’t get to wear a long sleeve shirt here until November.
I guess people always want what they don’t have and take for granted what they do. Fall is my favorite season ever. Probably because we get like, two weeks of it.

patient one–I know what you mean about weather. I left my native California for college in Washington state thinking I would enjoy a real autumn and pretty snow. Fall was nice, except for the smell of the piled up rotting leaves when it got warm in the afternoon, and winter was nice for the first two weeks; I was thoroughly sick of snow after four months of it. I’m very glad to be back in a milder climate.
That dress is really pretty! I usually am not a fan of strapless dresses, but that’s because I think a lot of them look just alike. This one is different, though, and quite nice.
