A neverending headpiece

By Never teh Bride

The Neverending Story, do do doo do do doo do do dooooo

I don’t know about you, but my grade school age self was always a little jealous of the empress from the Neverending Story. Sure, she was sick and reigning over a nearly dead empire. And even back then I knew that the book was so much better than the movie. But she was a tough little bird and she knew how to rock a headpiece.

Jewelry artist Wen Hsu apparently agrees with me, as she was so enamored by the empress’ choice of accessories that she created a replica using firepolished Czech glass beads, goldfilled wire, and a stunning teardrop freshwater pearl.

Frankly, I love all of her work – her hairpins, jewelry, and headpieces are amazingly beautiful. Her pieces are made to order and customizable…and, get this, she doesn’t charge design fees. But that is likely a temporary deal, so go check out her stuff before she changes her mind!

Why, why did you show me that?!?! I was trying my best not to spend much on my hair for the wedding…

I adore the Bougainvillea hairvine…but, it probably won’t go with my dress. Right? It’s too colorful. RIGHT?? My dress is white and silver…but then there’s the other hairvines… Thanks again, Never Teh Bride!

Oooh, the front page tortures me with its beautiful flamenco bride styling!

I say go for it, Pencils! That piece is amazing!

Never thought I’d say this, but I’d consider getting married again (and the first one has stuck pretty damn well all these years!) just to wear one of those gorgeous tiaras.

You have to splurge at least once, Pencils!

So glad to hear that I wasn’t the only one obsessed with the empress from “Neverending Story.” I was incredibly jealous, while at the same time absolutely in awe of her astounding beauty. I mean, what kid has the right to look like this at an age when the rest of us have big front teeth, mangy hair and a sprinkling of early pimples?
