Bluesmaids and brownsmaids
By Never teh BrideAs we all know, the kindest brides outfit their maids in something they will be able to wear again in the future. These four dresses most certainly fit the bill:
Traveling clockwise, we have mesh and satin by Alexia Admor, lace by Alexia Admor, chiffon by Shoshanna, and satin by A.B.S. I particularly like the last one, even if it is a bubble dress that would probably make me look silly.
Consider, too, that any one of these frocks could make wonderful rehearsal and rehearsal dinner garb. Me? I’m all prepared on that front. I had my rehearsal outfit (strapless, pleated mini dress, slim jeans, pearls, and pewter pumps) chosen long before I even contemplated what The Beard and I would wear during our ceremony. Maybe even before he proposed. That’s just how I operate.

I don’t even know why the notion of a rehearsal outfit got lodged in my brain, Dianasaur, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about it until I’d picked something out.

I just bought the lace one to wear to a few weddings! It is even more wonderful in person.

We are having a super laid back rehearsal dinner/barbecue so sadly, I won’t be buying a new dress for it. More like capris and a pretty tank top that won’t get too mussed when everyone starts playing football and baci ball. *sigh* I love that lace dress.
