Let the Wookiee win.
By Never teh BrideBest groomscake ever:
A friend of mine — let’s call him R. — took this photo of the utterly fantastic R2-D2 served at the Wedding wedding. Want to know what happens when your last name is Wedding and you just happen to be getting married? Printers call you believing that your surname is a typo. Vendors do double-takes when confirming your reservation. And outsiders (i.e. acquaintances) get just a little confused by the whole thing.

That truly is an awesome groom’s cake…though your title had me teased that someone had figured out how to do one of Chewbacca! LOL!
Oh man, am I glad right now my name isn’t Wedding! Neither of our names caused that sort of confusion…though for perfectly ordinary names it’s surprisingly easy to misspell both of them. Sigh.

My name is short and sweet and difficult to misspell. FIs is longer and since it’s German it’s really easy to misspell. Almost all of our wedding contracts had to be re-done at least once to fix misspellings in his last name.
I saw a wedding announcement in the paper this weekend for the Bowlin-Ball wedding. How funny is that?

C*–that is really funny. I wonder if the bride has decided to hyphenate her last name?
My last name is Carter (although my first name isn’t actually Jane); it’s short, phonetic, and in the last 100 years we’ve had a country music group (Carter Family) a president (Jimmy Carter) and at least two pop stars (Aaron and Nick Carter) with that last name–none of whom are any near relation to me. Considering this, you think people would be able to spell it? Nope–I get Carten, Cartier, Curter, etc. all the time.

haha…one of my friends got married recently and she’s a HUGE star wars fan, so i gave her an R2-D2 jar as a gift. i was going to make a millenium falcon cake for her shower, but didn’t have time. and she was going to have green and pink pocky for wedding favors (light sabers), but her mom vetoed the idea

Hi Melanie and Leslie — I’m not entirely sure, though I do know that the cake maker is in or around Las Vegas.
