We’re just taking pictures; the wedding’s not for a year.

As I love to see how folks outside of my demographic handle the matter of matrimony, I’m so glad I stumbled upon this short from Sexy Beijing:

And here I was thinking that an hour’s worth of mugging for the camera was exhausting!

    thanks for posting this! i lived in china for a couple of years, about 10 years ago, and this sort of thing was just beginning to come into vogue then…not just photography, but also the interest in white poofy wedding gowns. traditionally, the main chinese wedding color is red…white is for mourning! so you can imagine why the western trend of white wedding dresses was slow to catch on… 🙂

    at least in the more rural area where i lived, many couples actually spent more on these kinds of photos than they did on their actual wedding. in fact, many women still got married in simple red dresses, and rented the white confections from the photography studio for the photos only…
