I’m a fan of orange and brown for fall weddings. Being from TN originally, I know many a family that would go with orange and white. I’m just not cruel enough to make bridesmaids wear solid orange. I look good in it, but not everyone has my strange coloring.

Orange and Blue is also Gator colors. (I’m from Florida.) I understand how strong associations like that can be.

C*–but those are Islander colors. Why would that be a problem? (I’m a hockey fan, not a baseball fan….)

Bright green sounds great. My sister has a lavender one, it’s fab.

*sigh* I wanted orange and blue for our wedding colors but I was vetoed. FI’s family is half Yankees half Mets fans and had I gone with orange and blue I would have been mocked endlessly the whole day, which is not something I wanted.

We registered for a bright green KitchenAid, Pencils. I can’t WAIT to see it in our kitchen.

Orange and blue can be great too. Earlier in the week, my husband sent me a first anniversary (first month anniversary) bouquet. It has the most gigantic orange roses–they’re incredible!–blue hydrangea, some yellow touches, and some other purply-blue flowers. Delphinium, maybe. It’s a gorgeous arrangement. My husband knows I love orange, I’ve been going on and on about how I love the tangerine KitchenAid mixer we received as a wedding present.

Oooh, the orange with hot pink is lucious, and actually perfect for summer. Those are sherbet colors, and so they give a sense of coolness even though both colors are on the warm end of the spectrum. I don’t know about anyone else, but that table photo made me smile.

Oh, and that is one funky cake, in the best possible interpretation of the phrase.
