Modern brides require modern gowns for modern times
By Never teh BrideTag lines tend to crack me up. For example, Olivia Luca bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses are, “Custom made for modern times.” What does that even mean? I much prefer the text from Olivia Luca’s “about” page.
…design your own dress, in your own style, for your own body, without sewing a stitch. A dress that you could fashion specifically for yourself but without picking up a single thimble. Or pricking even a pinkie. A dress that you could create at your own leisure, in your own way, maybe even from the comfort of your own home. No rush. No muss. No pressure. No sewing skills required. An exquisite dress made from beautiful, lush fabrics, with every seam stitched just for you. A dress that is affordable but impossibly appropriate.
And then, really, I rather much much prefer the dresses themselves!

And these little gals are just too cute in those dresses, which I am sure they will wear again and again until they’ve outgrown them entirely.
Again, LOVE. THE. SASH! Especially the long, twisted one on the left. It makes me want to sew something, even if that does mean ‘pricking a pinkie.’

I just looked and I could have had a dress that is really similar to the one I got for $100 cheaper… They really are affordable!

Somehow I only seem to be able to get to one photograph in her gallery, so I’m glad you have some other examples here. It’s probably me, though. My brain hasn’t been functioning at all today.
The list of fabrics was fantastic! The photos were so clear you could almost feel the swatches slip through your fingers and the descriptions would give someone who isn’t familiar with weaves and fibers a good idea of what they’re really like. Nice. I also really love the emphasis on organic and fair trade fabrics. It always does my hippiesque little heart good to see these terms applied to luxury items…or any items.
Oh, and if I’d been handed one of those flower girl dresses to wear when I was a kid? I would have worn it until it was in tatters or I couldn’t squeeze any body part into it anymore.
And I have to say, one of the things I’ve always been particularly happy about with my wedding is my custom gown. There’s not another like it and I felt gorgeous.
Then it took second place in the county fair.

I’m getting my dress from Olivia Luca. Although it’s my “own” design. It looks a lot like the one featured in the photo. Heck! it looks a lot like all of the dresses on her site.
