It’s a goth thing

By Never teh Bride

Who says goth has to be commercial?

Funny, that the most apt description of the Martha Stewart way of life should come from Gothic Martha Stewart.

For the uninitiated, Martha Stewart is a phenomenally successful domestic arts champion and stylemaker who advocates an upscale but not ostentatious style of living which has a lot to do with making things yourself and finding new uses for the old, instead of just buying everything new.

It just…works. Yes, the site looks like a send up at first glance, but it’s not. The people behind Gothic Martha Stewart are deadly serious when it comes to DIY elegance with a dark and mysterious twist. And just like Martha, they do weddings. From decor to DIY to etiquette advice with a goth twist, the site is full of “good things.”

Good things that will make you want to go “Bwahahahaha” in a sinister fashion!

I love Gothic Martha Stewart! While I don’t do the dark style myself (I’d be way too perky a goth), I appreciate the people who take the effort to do it well. Gothic Martha Stewart is a perfect example of living the dark very well.
