Sorry about that, Pencils. That happens to me every so often as well, but I have no clue as to why!

My post disappeared! Anyway, I like those shoes. Yes, they're a bit overly fussy, but they're for a wedding gown! I love Peter Fox shoes, as I love retro and old-fashioned style shoes. Before I had chosen a gown, I knew I wanted Peter Fox shoes. However, my beloved made a request: he's not quite 2" taller than I, and he asked that I not be taller than he on our wedding day. So...I had to find flats or shoes with no higher than 1.5" heels. Peter Fox doesn't have anything that low (they did have one clearance shoe, but it was too plain, and didn't have my size anyway.) I found a gorgeous pair of Benjamin Adams shoes from the UK, which were incredibly comfy and got many compliments, but I still get wistful over Peter Fox's Annabel and Georgina shoes.

Those shoes are waaaaaaay too fussy and baroque for the average dress or person. You'd have to be one in a million to carry those off, but I'd love to see it done right.

Gemdiva, you have a good eye. They are, indeed, something of a pastiche of 18th century styles. That said, I've seen 18th century pastiche shoes I've liked a whole lot more - and I have a particular fetish for footwear of that era.

Gotta say, I"m lovin' those shoes. Very Marie Antoinette. Tney do need to be paired with the absolutely right gown, though, or fashion disaster could be in the making.

Heck yes, La BellaDonna! It would be a pretty boring world if every bride walked down the aisle wearing the exact same strapless a-line gown and plain pumps.

Funny thing: I hate the pattern on the shoe, but I would love it on the bodice of a gown.
