haha, great suits, but it always cracks me up when super skinny models stand all hunched like that. All I can think is that they must be so hungry they can’t manage decent posture!

The model’s posture + her facial expression say to me, “I’ve just dislocated my shoulder, could you take me to the ER?”

I have hips from here to there (which, as you know, is not a short distance), and thus skinny pants are out for me. I like the jacket, though. Not too keen on the bustier, it’s too long — I learned my lesson about tails, because not only do I have nice curvy hips, I also have a nice curvy butt. You can’t do tails if your butt makes them stick straight out!

I think the pants depend more on build than on weight. If you have amazing legs and a balanced figure, skinny pants look great. But my figure is like Emily’s, all hips and thighs, and even though I’m pretty slim (size 4) skinny pants look absolutely awful on me. They are not a forgiving look for the pear-shaped among us!

I do like the jacket on the left — not a huge fan of the bustier, though.

I have often made known here my love for Swishy Pants. I do believe that a pair of beautiful floaty Swishy Pants would make the perfect “woman with adult sized hips” pairing to the Bustier with Tails, yes?

It would almost mimic a floaty skirt when standing still but have all the drama and swishyness of pants when walking/moving. And imagine your shoe options!

I think I shall look into this “Bustier” idea for myself…..

I would think the cut of this outfit would be somewhat unforgiving to many figures, though I would think shape would ultimately be more important than the size that shape happens to be. I’ve been very thin. I’ve been very fat. I’m now moderately fat. At no point in my life would I have carried this one off well.

Still, on just the right woman who is not deliberately taking on the stance and facial expression of a suicidal gorilla, it could be quite fetching.

Leah- I’m a 10 as well, and I know that I have yet to be able to squeeze my, erm, shapely thighs into anything involving the adjective slim. Perhaps it’s a build thing; I’m all hips and thighs with a smaller waist.

That being said, love the top, hate the bottom. But then, I’m not all that into skinny trousers.

I don’t know that you need to be stick thin to wear white slim trousers – I’m a 10 and I have a pair and they look really good with the right top. Speaking of which, I’m hating on the top. Sorry, NtB. Maybe I wouldn’t hate it if she was standing up straight and had boobs to fill out the top of it, but even then, not my thing. But I could see the pants with something like this:

This particular look won’t work on anyone but the skinny models, unfortunately. A good pair of white trousers, maybe. I think that would have been a much more informal option, though. Would have worked well for my wedding, had I thought of it!

And why can’t models stand up straight anymore???
