Both girls are really into the planning, though neither one knows what the other is wearing, which has allowed for some really elaborate practical jokes. I’ve been involved in the planning for both brides, and even though it’s been stressful, it’s been great fun.

Honestly, I don’t understand why people think gay marriage shouldn’t be allowed. Love is love, right?

It reminds me of when I worked at a florist with a lesbian couple that was planning their wedding.
They made work so much fun. Every day there was some sort of wedding talk and they were both really really into all of it. Apart from the dresses. Deb wasn’t all that interested, all she cared was that it was white and didn’t have dangling beads that’d snag on things and tear off when she’d sit down hehe.

blablover5: The biggest disagreements The Beard and I had were about his not being all that interested in the planning stuff! I only wish he’d had a bit more to say, but it’s not just a wedding thing. He’s a low-key dude without a lot of strong preferences — he takes life as it comes and enjoys the ride!

Blablover5, your words are very true: the problem isn’t with differing genders, but differing tastes…though I’d have given a lot if Mr. Twistie had expressed a couple more opinions even if they’d differed from mine.

It’s funny but my guy does actually have opinions on the wedding but our taste is pretty much the same so we don’t really fight over details (what are families are up to is another story).

So if you’re marrying someone who has the same taste as you it shouldn’t be too much of a fight regardless of the gender.
