If your dream wedding includes a flower girl, I have two pieces of advice for you.
One, make sure that your chosen tot understands and accepts that she’ll be walking alone in front of hordes of grownups with cameras. For every little girl who salivates at the idea of being the center of attention, there’s a little girl who would rather eat broccoli than be a flower girl. Let your candidate know that it’s okay if she wants to decline your invitation.
And two, when you do find your flower girl, dress her in a gorgeous princessy frock she’ll still remember when she’s at university.

These teeny flower girl dresses are from Little Flowers by Odyssey. All four are 100% silk and fully lined, and each one can be ordered in different lengths, with or without sleeves so your wee one doesn’t freeze her tiny knees and elbows off during your wintertime wedding.
(covets that gorgeous copper number)
You know, if when I was a tiny girl someone had offered me the chance to be a flower girl AND a plate of broccoli, I would have been the worlds’ happiest camper.
Then again, I used to request spinach for my birthday dinner.
I love my green veggies, and always have…but I may love these dresses even more.
To heck with the whole flower girl thing, I may just have to buy one of these some year when my new sproglet is old enough to wear one. (I covet the one that shades to rust on the bottom — if I could get that in my size I’d be happy.)
Twistie: When I was just a little one, I loved Brussels sprouts. They were just so cute!
Meg: Too true — why wait for a wedding? I wouldn’t mind one of these in my size…how come they don’t make more dresses like these for grown-ups? I bet we’d buy them all right up!
Me four!
Oh there a fabulous polka dot number in my colors!!! No way can spend 275 on a flower girl dress (or ask her mother to). But still, it’s exciting to know it exists!
Hi Ladies (and Manolo),
We’re so happy that you like our dresses and we appreciate the kind words!
FYI we’re having an “order early” special, all our dresses are 15% off, and if you reference this blog when you order, we can give an additional 10% off your order.

Thanks for stopping by, Liz! Would that I had never heard you say I could have one of these in my size — I totally can’t afford it, but I want it anyway.
(looks at bank statement)
Damn. Just when I find I could have that gorgeous copper colored one made in my size.
Oh Mr. Twistie? I want a flower girl dress for Christmas.
Do NOT buy from little flowers by Odyssey!!! I contacted the company in January asking for a sample dress. They told me my credit card would be charged for the dress in full and I would be sent the dress in two business days and I would have ten days from the date I got it to return it and get my full refund. The woman said they were having snow storms so there could be a delay, I said no problem. Two weeks went by and I had no dresses. I made multiple attempts to contact them by phone and email to no avail. Finally, they happened to pick up the phone after multiple calls. They said they didn’t ship it because they were waiting on the size I requested (which was a 10) and that they would put it in the mail today. I recieved the dresses a week later. There were two dresses, neither the color I requested, one a size 12 and one a 14 which is also NOT the size I requested. I sent the dresses back and let them know I wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering from their company at this point. I still to this day in June haven’t recieved my $262.00 credit back to my credit card. I have again made numerous attempts to call, leave messages, email and have recieved no contact whatsoever. They are an internet only based company and I guess now we know why!! Do yourself a favor and do not order from this company.
That second dress is perfection! Wish *I* could wear that for an event I have coming up.
Save yourself the headache, DO NOT do business with Little Flowers! I thought the same thing as Svadba above when I was looking for flowergirl dresses, “How perfect!” The dresses are lovely, the company is CROOKED! I should have taken the hint when they FORGOT about my appointment 6 months before my wedding. But I ordered anyway, and nearly had a heart attack when the WRONG color dresses arrived, LATE, 2 weeks before my wedding. They did manage to send the correct color in time, but 6 months after that, they BILLED me for the wrong dresses. Rather than own up, they tried to RIP ME OFF and blamed me for THEIR MISTAKE when I challenged the charge with my credit card company. Needless to say, my credit card company DENIED payment to Little Flowers when they heard to whole story, but WHAT A HEADACHE! Courtney (above) and I can’t be the only ones they tried to CHEAT!
