Ring Cushions and Flower Baskets By Muscari

By Never teh Bride

Flower girl baskets and ring bearer pillows…baskets and ring pillows…when it comes right down to it, there aren’t that many options out there for the non-DIYer. It’s not that there aren’t cool crafters making awesome wedding accessories, rather it’s that the mass-produced generic ceremony accessories get so much more play than the one-of-a-kind stuff.

That just means you have to look a little harder if you want your wedding ceremony accessories to stand out. EasterYu is on Etsy and Muscari, fighting the good fight by creating unique flower girl baskets and ring cushions out of birch wood, seashells, artificial moss, miniature birds, and velvet.

Hint hint: She also makes fabulous boutonniéres and lovely hair pins created from beautiful feather flowers.

Prices for everything from baskets to boutonniéres range from $7 to $50, and you can’t beat that!

I love her shell stuff! I am thinking about DIYing something similar, but if my crafting skills desert me then I will be hitting up Muscari.

  2. blablover5 Says:

The little birds nest is cute, but I could see a little girl having a lot of fun picking apart the grass basket.

    These are so charming, NtB!

I must admit, though, my first thought on looking at the grass baskets - cute though they are - was that some flower girl was going to have a blast picking off the grass right before the ceremony.

And my second was that I might be able to make similar designs, whereupon I had to roundly remind myself that I’m already married and not intimately involved ATM in the planning of any other wedding. The lure of DIY is in my blood and cannot be contained.

Maggie: I couldn’t see it being that difficult, unless finding the right shell proves to be problematic.

    blablover5: Or stealing the birds!

Twistie: Well, you could set up your own shop and supply those brides-to-be not quite as crafty as yourself. You could even use a pseudonym, and I could pimp out your designs on the blog…for a small cut? We will make a fortune!
