Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Retro Edition

You all know how this works. I pick a picture and post it here. You send in your best captions via the comments section. Next week I pick a winner and we all laud said winner with songs of the great Tribble hunt…er…well, maybe not Tribble hunting songs, but a couple woos and hoos to celebrate, anyway.

Are you seated comfortably? Then we’ll begin. Take a gander at this and hit me with your best shots:

Ready…set…snark!

I’m sorry, maybe I’m missing something…what is there to be snarky about? This looks like great fun!

  2. Fabrisse says:

The shivaree shouldn’t start until the wedding night!

Can’t snark on this. I’ve been to many a Serbian wedding where bands not too different than this attended at the bride’s home the morning of the wedding. It’s a lot of fun. Friends and relatives dance in the street, and the groom and his best man serenading the bride’s from the front lawn, coaxing her to come out. And that’s before the wedding even happens!

All the guests were enjoying Dierdre’s theme wedding based on “Titanic” and gleefully headed for the make-believe lifeboats as the band played “Nearer My God to Thee”.

Carol wondered “What was I thinking!!!” as she lifted hoop and ran for her life. Instead of The Wedding March, her ex-husband to be had the band play the theme song for The Benny Hill Show.
