Purple is popular now? Sounds good to me. When I got married two years ago the most popular color seemed to be brown. I hate brown, and it seemed seriously unfestive. To me, anyway. Those lavender-grey shoes are lovely.

I adore Dita’s gown. I hope she gets married again soon just so we can see what her next choice will be!

I love purple. (& I love Dita.) It’s the one color that I’ve never been bored with so it was the obvious choice for our wedding “scheme”. Too bad most stuff I like and have chosen for our wedding has then become fashionable, but at leas I know I chose them because I liked them, not because of trendy trends. Maybe I’ll find some nice purple things that wouldn’t have been offered a year ago! My fiancé’s favorite and my 2nd favorite color green looks gorgeous with white and purple, IMAO.

(Ps. my entire bedroom is purple. To be fair, my fiancé got green in the kitchen and the living room.)

(Pps. I think those purple cocktails look, in a sort of delicious way, a tiny bit poisonous. )

I had a true private moment when I saw Dita’s gown…. That fabric is so wonderful. Dita, if you still have that dress, could you donate it to the Jennie?

I was having trouble deciding on colors or a theme for our wedding until I saw a bunch of purple dahlias at farmers’ market. Then everything fell in to place, and I was never a huge purple fan before that. It just seemed right.

I returned to that vendor to buy the flowers for the bouquets–you can’t go wrong with beautiful, fresh, locally grown flowers that are also inexpensive.
