LOVE/HATE: The ‘Little Gal Blue’ Edition
By Never teh Bride

LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE! Would *I* wear it if I were getting married all over again? Maybe not — or maybe yesyesyes — but I think that this real bride is too adorable in her itty-bitty blue and pink ruffled wedding dress. What say you?

Not only do I love the dress, but I love how the groom’s attire is appropriately formal, yet equally quirky.

And her shoes are fabulous too.

Absolutely fabulous! I love the sash ’round her waist!

I think it’s adorable, but I wouldn’t wear it to my wedding. A wedding, perhaps, if I weren’t a participant, but not my own.
Of course, I think it’s just pushing the line of twee-ness and isn’t really something I could see myself wearing. On other people, abso-friggin-lutely adorable. But not for me.

so cute! if it was about a foot longer i’d be all about it.

???? I think the skirt is underwear. It’s a crinoline to be worn under another garment to puff out the skirt. The top looks like a little girl took another crinoline and wore it upside down as a top.
I’m firmly on the side of “wear whatever makes you a happy bride” but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to judge it as fashion (although I’d never tell the bride what I thought).

Kai, its actually very similar to a recent (within the last few years) Betsey Johnson design….the best picture I can find of it is here: http://sc4.stylefeeder.com/thumb/fw/gx/fwgx9d6c/fwgx9d6c-200.jpg
So no, its not a petticoat.
I think that if you can pull it off, rock on! I can’t wear that many ruffles without looking like I’m in costume, but I do have friends who can…and this bride can. I love it!

Interestingly, the groom only detailed the info on HIS outfit, but I agree with the other posted that pegged hers as a Betsey Johnson frock.
Plus, I’m willing to bet that this bride will wear this dress over and over again.

Honestly, it looks like the bride spilled coffee all over her real dress just before the walk down the aisle and then had to borrow her flower girl’s frock (which would be adorable for a pre-teen) at the last moment.
But it covers the bits, so if she likes it and it makes her smile, that’s great. I just hope the flower girl wasn’t too upset.

It looks like a Vegas wedding – so I think that it is perfect for a fun elopement or a destination dress!
Plus, she looks so darn cute in it – not something that I could pull off at all!

Super-dee-duper cute! I wouldn’t wear it either, but she looks adorable and happy in it.

Hi,
I am actually the groom in the above. I can confirm that it is indeed a Betsey Dress. Well spotted.

I think it absolutely suits the woman wearing it; she looks fabulously happy and herself.
I’d wear something similar: I could wear it if it was just above ankle-length, and either built into a corset, or had straps so I could wear a bra. In other words, another dress entirely! But it could look like a relative!

Two thumbs up here. That is a great dress, the groom looks equally great, and they look like they are having a really fun time. Hooray fun ruffle dress and mod suit! In PARIS!
