Gayle, the invitations are actually flat printed onto a 111 Lb embossed paper so it can travel through the post with flying colors. (I first tried to print the design on actual wood veneer but it didn't pass the Can I Sit On It Test.) Christa, thank you *so* much for your kind words. It's great to see something that goes against the grain of overly fancy invites. I also appreciate the crisp mix of fonts and spacing, which still keeps it elegant. There's just so much more choices now in wedding stationery than when I was looking almost a decade ago. Back then, nearly everything was bedecked with ribbons and roses on heavy ivory stock with gold embossing and italic script- which after looking at books and books of samples, seemed cloying, like watching the same Disney movie over and over. I settled on plain white cardstock with some casually drawn flowers, but I'd love to have seen this. LOVE! It’s great to see something that goes against the grain of overly fancy invites.
