Inspiration: Pinwheels

Maybe that should be spinspiration! Terrible, I know. But aren’t pinwheels fun? And there are so many great ways to use them in weddings that it would be impossible to list them all. Favors of pretty paper pinwheels with your names and wedding date printed on them come to mind. And how about using them in place of flowers in reception table centerpieces? I can even make it simpler – get a punch of pinwheels that coordinate with your wedding color scheme and stick them in the ground! Easy-peasy!

  1. So sweet and summery! I ADORE that cake. And what a great theme if you’re having lots of kids at your wedding — the decor doubles as toys to keep them entertained!

  2. @La Petite Acadienne I know, right? I’m actually a bit sad that I didn’t think about it for my own wedding. There were tons of kids and there was tons of WIND. I mean it was just THE perfect day for pinwheels. None of that blowing on it yourself nonsense – it would have been spinning pinwheels all around with not a bit of help from wedding guest breath.

  3. La Petite Acadienne says:

I don’t regret eloping, but sometimes I DO regret not getting to pick out all the pretty party supplies.

But I suppose, Tiny Bear’s 2nd birthday is in August, so I could always borrow this idea for his birthday party.

  4. The pinwheel theme so perfectly goes with the venue and also adds that fun element to the whole event.
