LOVE/HATE: The ‘Sliced and Diced’ Edition

Here we have yet another bridal model staring us down, daring us to say something… anything… about her choice of wedding day frock. This time, it’s Ian Stuart’s Harlequin, one of the gowns from his 2011 collection. According to Ian Stuart’s web site, this is a wedding dress for a “diva bride” and it features “imposing loops.” Imposing indeed! So imposing that I kind of hate it. Is anyone else imagining stuff getting in the loops as the bride walks along – particularly during the reception when who knows what will end up on the floor?

It looks like small children could hide in it and hitch rides…I know that’s what any in my family (and/or cats) would do at the first sight of this one.

Oh, Ian Stuart and your crazy-ass designs. Sometimes they are lovely, and sometimes they make me concerned for your grip on reality. Even my sister, who I consider the epitome of ‘Diva Bride’ was all, “Hells No” to this one. It looks surprisingly cheap to me, more than anything else.

Definitely not my thing. I think if he removed the loops it would definitely look better!
