Super Awwww

Just because I was okay with a plain, no frills proposal of marriage doesn’t mean I don’t go all gooey inside when I see creative marriage proposals like this one by 28-year-old Jeff Gurwin, who got his graffiti on when he popped the question to 27-year-old Caitlin Fitzsimons. It wasn’t only an incredibly sweet proposal all on its own; it was also a lot of fun to watch the making-of video.

Especially fun, I think, because Caitlin answered Jeff’s graffiti marriage proposal in the affirmative. Always nice to have a happy ending! Now, who hasn’t chimed in before and wants to share their proposal stories?

My fiance decided to propose to me at the top of the TransAmerica pyramid in San Francisco. He knew a friend who could get him to the absolute top where the red light flashes. Although I had a sneaking suspicion that he was going to propose sometime that evening I was quite surprised by his choice of location! You can barely fit 3 people at the top and he’s quite tall. He even managed to kneel down! It was pretty much the best thing ever. Afterward, we went to an Italian restaurant in North Beach and visited the Tonga Room which is done up to look like The Tiki Room. It even rains every 15 minutes! It was a truly magical evening.
