LOVE/HATE: Mini-me


So… flower girl as miniature bride. On the upside, apparently if you’re six you can actually have sleeves. On the downside, I gotta go with ‘everything else’ from the tiny, fussy updo to the (I assume) matching veil and tiara to the bodice cut to enhance curves that aren’t there yet to that annoying handbag.

Yeah, I’m going with HATE here. In fact, I’m going with ‘hate that burns like a thousand fiery suns’ on this. Give the kid the handbag for playing dress up, and let her be a kid while she’s being a flower girl. They grow up too fast as it is.

Tarting Things Up

Mmmm… Fruute tarts!

Take a look at this delectable bite of sweet delight. It’s the three berries tart from Fruute, a Los Angeles based patisserie which specializes in these tiny works of culinary art. The three berries features three perfect berries (looks like one black, one red raspberry and one yellow raspberry) nestled in Madagascar vanilla custard in a vanilla crust. Classic and sure to be a hit.

Of course, since their motto is ‘tarts unordinary’ one might expect them to have some slightly more… adventurous offerings. One would be correct in that assumption.

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Too Cool for School Edition: The Result

Well, well, well….

… and you came back at me with… um… well… yeah, nothing.

And so for the first time ever, there is no winner of Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness. Bummer. I’ll try to come up with something more inspirational next time.

How Much Does it Cost?


Money doesn’t grow on trees. Weddings aren’t necessarily cheap. In fact, the average wedding in the US, according to statistics, costs roughly $26.542 today. That’s a lot of money.

But there’s a funny thing about average statistics: they reflect all weddings and none, not any one specific wedding.
