Short Locks, But Long on Drama

All too often brides to be assume they have to grow out their tresses to look dramatic and beautiful on their wedding days. This, however, is not the case.

In point of fact, it’s all about the right cut combined with the right accessories.

For instance, that look up top? A combination of relatively short curls with a multi-layer bandeau is a look that has roots in the Napoelonic era, but it’s just as fabulous today.

We’re Havin’ a Heat Wave

With record-breaking temperatures throughout the country and massive droughts going on, this strikes me as a good time to talk about how to beat the heat on your wedding day.

After all, a scorcher of a day is not only uncomfortable for the people saying ‘I do’ but their friends and families as well. High mercury can lead to high tempers and short fuses. You don’t want fights breaking out because of heat-related misery and you certainly don’t want anyone – including you! – to suffer from heat prostration.

Not Actually Bare-Headed Brides

A recent article by my most esteemed collegue garnered a lot of anti-veil (or at least veil? meh) comments by our readers. On the other hand, while many seemed more than ready to give up veils, most brides want something to replace them.

So I went looking for the perfect replacements this morning, and lo and behold, I found a positive gold mine.
