Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Fearsome Faces Edition: The Result

Ah my dears. Last week I slapped you all with this deathless (and possibly zombified) image:
and a whole… two of you responded with captions.

Never mind, the two submitted both rocked.

Alas, only one can win. This week it’s my compatriot and companion in crime Fabrisse for this funny and fabulous caption:

Cissy tried to explain to the bride that singing all four verses of the National Anthem before the reception was NOT traditional.

Congratulations, Fabrisse! And thanks to, well, Sarah G for playing.

How do caption lovers! It’s time once again to play Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness! You all know how this works. I post a picture that’s worth a thousand words and you use a dozen or so (more or less) to produce a perfect caption. Next week I declare a winner and we all samba for joy in the privacy of our own homes and cubicles.

This week’s picture comes from the ‘sure hope this didn’t make it into Grandma’s photo album of the happy event’ file, and it looks a little like this:
Ready… set… snark!

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Can I Take Door Number Two? Edition: The Result

Hail unto thee, caption lovers!

Last week I slapped you all with this deathless image:
and asked for great captions.

Two of you bravely answered the call. You both did well, Grasshoppers. Alas! There can be but one winner. This week it’s Susan for this deeply, deeply disturbing – yet wickedly funny – entry:

I expected your Grandma’s ring, but not still on Grandma’s finger.

Congratulations, Susan! And thanks to both of you who played.

Twistie’s Sunday… Er… Saturday Caption Madness: The Spacey Edition: The Result

Oh my dears, you have made me so happy.

Yesterday, I thwapped you all with this deathless image:
… and four of you came through with thigh-slapping captions for it.

In the end, though, there can be but one winner. This week it’s my good friend and compatriot Fabrisse for this reminder of the importance of taking practicalities into consideration when planning your wedding location and wardrobe:

“You may kiss the bride,” was a disaster waiting to happen.

Congratulations, Fabrisse! And thanks to everyone who played.

Twistie’s Sunday… Er… Saturday Caption Madness: The Spacey Edition

Folks, it has been a long, stressful week at Casa Twistie. He’s going to be okay, but I spent the last two days at the hospital watching over Mr. Twistie. Not to panic, because he’s okay now, but I’m kind of frazzled.

In honor of the fact that I need to blow off some steam, and the fact that this amazing image fell into my lap in my searches through the web for last week’s menswear article, I have decided to hold a special 24-hour Caption Madness contest.

You know how this works. I post the picture, you come up with captions (quickly, this time, since it’s a one day challenge!), and tomorrow I’ll choose a winner and thank everyone for the chuckles.

This image comes to you from the Spaced Out files, and it looks a little like this:
Ready… set… snark!

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Bride of Henry VIII Edition: The Results

Greetings my little syllabubs!

If you cast your minds back to last sunday, some of you may recall that I presented you all with a Very Special Bridal Image that day. It looked a little like this:
Three of you were brave and crazy enough to take up the challenge and send in captions.

All three of you did well, Grasshoppers, but in the end there can be but one winner. This week that winner is Jennifer for this gigglesome take on a classic theme:

My mother-in-law told me she would bite my head off if I bought that dress,I didn’t think she meant literally.

Congratulations, Jennifer! And thanks to everyone who played.
