Wedding Inspiration That’s For the Birds

According to my sources, we’ll be seeing a lot more birds in weddings this year and in the following year, and I’m not talking about wedding dove releases. Which can be bad news, actually, so I’m happy to say that this trend is purely representational. Birds will be appearing on the wedding invitations you receive and the wedding cake you subsequently eat. And for brides- and grooms-to-be, your choices when it comes to all things nuptial will include a lot more aviarian options. Here are a few examples to get you thinking!

You could let everyone know that you’ll be love birds forever with the sweetly-named lovebird ring pillow – which is part of a larger collection if you’re a bride who adores birds.

From Red Light Studio, you can choose from a range of prefab or custom birdy wedding cake toppers. From the description: Unlike ceramic, or even polymer clay, these toppers are SUPER lightweight. They have a styrofoam inner core, ensuring that each topper is light enough for any cake.

Paper Heart Design makes lovebird wedding invitation suites and table number sets that will coordinate perfectly with your wedding colors.

An embroidered bird on a wedding dress makes a beautiful statement – and draws attention to the delicate lace and netting peeking out at the hem. Perfect for the bride who wants an eye-catching embellishment, but not a lot of bridal jewelry.

Okay, these birds are just too cute. I found them on a wedding stationery suite created by Beast Pieces of Minneapolis (and designed by what must be a very unique and talented couple). Don’t you just love the colors?

Those after an easy bird themed wedding favor might opt for love birds salt and pepper shakers personalized with names and dates. I could sure use a bit of loving and resting, dreaming and nesting!

And finally, wee birdy pillows or sachets as wedding favors printed and put together by Parrott Design Studio (mentioned previously) for an English couple marrying in Norway. Sweet, no?
