What it is: A wedding invitation designed by Nuage Mulberry Digital Art, known for its unique custom handmade wedding invitations that are more affordable than most. What it looks like, to me anyway: Skin, stretched and dried. Not that there’s anything wrong with that if it’s a look you love! I’m just not loving it. To be fair, I do love just about everything else that comes out of Nuage Mulberry Digital Art. Just not this particular invite.
It’s pretty obvious where my opinion falls on the spectrum. What do you think? Am I judging this one wedding invitation too harshly? Am I missing the point? Or is there something of the amateur anthropodermic bibliopegy about this one?
I thought it looked like potato skins myself, but now i see what you see. Ugh. Of course, unpeeled potatoes are not a look I would want at my wedding either.
That’s pretty weird! I thought knowing what kind of skin would make me like it more, but I just don’t know about that one!
I had to go check and see what it really was before I commented. I think it looks seriously creepy, and I wouldn’t want that look for my wedding. But for someone who wants a rustic, sort of woodsy look . . . well, to each his own.
I am all for hand made things at your wedding…it gives it some personality.
Thanks for the post. I really do appreciate feedback, good or bad. This particular invitation was created for a very rustic wedding. The bride wanted a natural material incorporated into it and this is what she chose. But this goes to show that we create and customize to every kind of bride, and if they are happy, that’s what matters.
I did notice that you liked the rest of my designs and again, I really appreciate it and would like to invite everyone to visit my website for other designs.
